We are currently seeking talented people in the following areas:
- Able to lead and be primary advocate for all aspects of the user centered design process
- Expertise in Web 2.0 concepts and core principles of compelling web design and methods are essential
- Can integrate the needs and perspectives of engineers, product managers and end users into product designs
- Able to simplify complicated data interactions and flows
- Focus on creating and delivering a consistent and compelling user experience across the entire product
- Experience working as a key member of an Agile development team
- Ability to create clickable prototypes a plus
- Interested in participating in usability tests with customers and prospects
- Experience with accounting subject matter or reporting on large data sets a plus
- Bachelor's Degree with 3 plus years of industry experience
- Successful strategic customer account management and development within the service industry
- Property Management and Accounting knowledge
- Outstanding customer relationship skills - ability to penetrate accounts and build relationships
- Proven ability to effectively present and communicate to all levels of an organization
- Effectively manage both change and communications management during the lifecycle of a client relationship from implementation to ongoing delivery
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, proficient presentation skills and strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Participate in writing acceptance tests for new user stories
- Conduct exploratory testing to identify areas of improvement for our web-based application
- Test new features as part of our story-driven Agile development process
- Participate in backlog grooming for upcoming sprints
- Encourage team ownership of quality
- Bachelor's Degree
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Effective, clear communication style for working closely with development team and product owners
- Experience with accounting subject matter or property management a plus
- Commitment to quality, enthusiasm for testing
Software Engineer
Design & develop system & software architectures, using Ruby on Rails framework & MySQL database, for scalable web-based services. Deploy & maintain web-based software applications using Apache & Mongrel web servers. UX - Senior Interaction Designer
AppFolio is looking for a Sr. Interaction Designer to firmly establish user centered design as a foundational element of all our products. The Sr. Interaction Designer will take on a position of leadership within a fast paced, hungry team working to bring the power of well designed SaaS products to a multitude of vertical industries. You will work closely and collaboratively with Customers, the Product Owner and the Engineering team to scope, construct flows and wireframe user stories, and then act as the champion of the user experience during development and iteration. The ideal candidate will be a tireless advocate for the customer.

Client Relationship Manager
The Client Relationship Manager is responsible for delivering pre and post sale service to AppFolio Property Manager customers and prospects. The Client Relationship Manager is the first point of contact for customer training, data conversion, setup/configuration, and problem solving. The Client Relationship Manager role is the conduit between customers and the rest of the AppFolio team, as such the Client Relationship Manager must be a great team player and communicator.
